Its been helpful to gain insight on a range of media formats from professionals of a verity of filming formats such as animal documentaries in Alex Sletten's Masterclass which was on the 18th of march. it was insightful to hear from a real award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer who's had over 20 years of experience talk about filming documentaries all over the world with credits like the BBC and Discovery. Capturing Bears and wolves in the arctic circle to falcons in the Arabian Desert hearing a real professionals thought process helps with thinking of my own way to make it in the industry and hearing his mistakes in the past lets me know how to do better.

The ‘In Conversation with Lord Puttnam’ series was a massive help gaining knowledge on how to finance and produce successful content’ with David Parfitt on the 15th of march and actually being told the inner working of the financial aspect of the film industry. hearing the successes and failures of peoples careers in just some of the job roles out of the many in the industry from Sarah Gavron's 'How Technology has Changed Storytelling’ to ‘The Films of Ridley Scott’ with Ridley Scott. hearing peoples individual stories of making their way into film and the media industry lets amateurs like me that are just starting out follow their directions and void their errors.

It was also a massive help to hear from a well established name like ITV on the 10th of June and the multitude of roles, career opportunities and pathways they offer and what steps a young person can take to make their way into the sector and ITV in particular. They even discussed what key skills, qualities and attributes ITV looks for and give an insight into the recruitment process which all helps knowing what's needed for young people that are just starting out trying to get into the industry.
